Rugby is back! It may not be full-blown Super XV Rugby, but the five New Zealand sides are facing each other over a 10-week tournament.
The Blues, Chiefs, Crusaders, Highlanders and Hurricanes will all play each other home and away in a round robin format. Professional rugby makes its return with Super Rugby Pacific in New Zealand.
The tournament will also feature several innovations in terms of rules.
If a match is a draw after 80 minutes, the match will be decided by a golden point extra-time session. The first team to score any points by a drop-goal, penalty or a try in the 10-minute period will win. If no one scores, the match is a draw, awarding two points to each side.
